My daughter selected the colour palette for this piece and I really like it. I had the title selected before I even added colour and now that it's done, I think it's absolutely perfect. Those are the times that I really feel led by the hand of God, those times when everything falls into place so smoothly and easily. This painting feels to me like the light at the end of the tunnel, or experiencing light in the darkness...exactly what hope means to me. Those challenging times that sometimes feel as though they will go on forever. Today I had an interesting conversation with my mother-in-law about how we can sometimes feel as though our lives are so difficult, too difficult, and yet, taking the time to head outdoors into nature, to breathe the air and move the body causing the blood to flow is exactly what is needed to put everything back into perspective. Then we are reminded that those difficult times are generally very short in the whole scope of things, and that we are very small in the order of things. Humbling and exhilerating. Life.
